The property was acquired by Rolf and Ingrid Carlsson in 1996. The property comprised the 3 storey main chateau building, a rear building incorporating disused wine cuves and a very dilapidated separate building to the front of the property named the petit chateau. The renovations took over 4 years involving extensive works including re-roofing, replacement floors, all new services and facilities and the virtual rebuilding of the petit chateau with the reconstruction of the original tower. Original features were retained and enhanced with the dedicated detail work carried out by local craftsmen.
