This was partly to further Paul’s special interest in Historic Buildings, and also to improve his knowledge and expertise in the field of energy efficient retrofit as it applies to sensitive building fabrics requiring a delicate and respectful touch. Paul has been invited by the SPAB Technical Panel to the special meeting dedicated to Energy Efficiency Research currently being undertaken by organisations involved in building and energy conservation, at City Temple, Holborn, London, on 28th June.

This is now live on the RIBA website under ‘Find an Architect’ at: http://www.architecture.com/conservationregister.

In granting Paul Conservation Registrant status, the assessment panel also noted a high level of presentation and proficiency in Architecture and Sustainability.

Hess Kincaid Leach Architects will be at British Homes Awards Stand S8 at Ecobuild 2011 in London’s Docklands ExCel centre 1-3 March 2011.
Hess Kincaid Leach will present outstanding projects from their portfolio of sustainable schemes demonstrating environmental design.
The Awards Stand will showcase the runner-up entries in the BRITISH HOMES AWARDS Design Competition, plus “GREEN FOR LIFE”, the winning energy efficient retrofit scheme voted number one by Daily Telegraph readers.
Green for Life was announced the winner at The RIBA Stirling Prize, London in October 2010.

Hess Kincaid Leach beat off illustrious competition from across Britain, to win in the retro-fit category of the prestigious British Homes Awards (BHA) run by The Daily Telegraph. Entitled “Green 4 Life” the project shows how a tired group of buildings can be transformed with flair and imagination into lifetime homes for the 21st century. Click here for more details.
