Paul LeachPaul Leach entered self-employment at 18 as a painter and decorator, settling in rural Wales in 1972. He restored a derelict farmhouse and worked as a cabinetmaker and antique restorer. After saving his own derelict Georgian townhouse from the threat of demolition (subsequently listed grade II), Paul became a building contractor (3-10 employees), building low-energy/passive solar houses to his own design, plus numerous conversion and refurbishment projects. He recycled himself as an Architect by attending Manchester and Oxford Schools of Architecture, gaining a B.A.Honours Degree, and Diplomas in Architecture and Energy Efficient Building.

After completing professional practice exams Paul spent two years as project Architect in a commercial sector practice, supervising contracts valued at up to £1million. Since 2005 Paul has run projects in London, Oxford and Wales deepening and extending his experience and interests, including Historic buildings, Conservation and Energy Efficiency refurbishment.
