Cambria Arts

Our client, Cambria Arts, was a registered charity organising regular arts events in Tregaron, including the Easter Arts Festival and Tregaron Music Festival. We were appointed to design their proposed headquarters in Abercoed Hall, a prominent building facing the Town Square, and assist with grant bids to the European Objective One fund, The Arts Council of Wales and Ceredigion County Council.

The brief was to provide a visual arts and crafts gallery together with a cafeteria, office facilities and two residential units. The existing building was in a dilapidated condition, necessitating major reinstatement whilst preserving the original façade to the town square conservation area. Our proposal retained this façade and extended the original building to the rear.
